A Midsummer Night’s Run

On Saturday, August 13, Lexington will celebrate the 32nd Annual running of the Midsummer Night’s Run brought to you by Baptist Health and other sponsors.

Events of the day include:

  • Fastest Kid in Town at 2:30pm. Children from ages 3-12 will sprint for the title of The Fastest Kid in Town. This event is held in heats based on age and then a final race. The races begin at the corner of Upper and Main. Registration is $15.
  • 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk at 6:30. The run/walk will begin at Limestone and Main for a 1-mile walk along Main Street. Registration is $15.
  • The Midsummer Night’s Run 5K at 8:00pm. Please take note of the earlier start time this year. The race begins at Limestone and Main. The course now runs out Main Street to Sherman Avenue and then returns.
  • Awards Ceremony at 9:30pm. Awards given are listed here.

Online registration is open through midnight on Friday, August 7.

You can register in person at John’s Run/Walk Shop at 317 South Ashland from July, 29th to August, 12th during store hours.¬†You can pick up packets from online registration in the shop as well.

Race day registration and packet pickup will be held at the Robert E. Stephens Courthouse (150 North Limestone) starting at 2pm.
