Dear Runners,

We see that Dean Reinke is continuing with his USRA Half Marathon series race in Mt Sterling, KY on March 17th, called the Kentucky Half Marathon. We had a very bad experience with Mr. Reinke and his USRA race that was held here in Lexington in spring of 2010. John's Run/Walk Shop, the city of Lexington, and even the sponsored charity dropped our support of his race and refused to support him in future races in Lexington. We urge runners to research Dean Reinke on the web prior to signing up for his races.

There is a legitimate half marathon in Lexington on March 31st called RunTheBluegrass Half Marathon. John's Run/Walk Shop is not involved with this race but it is organized by good people who will do a fine job and have the runners' best interest as a priority.
